Homegrown tomatoes, on the other hand, are about as good tasting food that you can find.

Same with these bad boys here that I'm trying to grow.

Ambrosia cantaloupes

Crimson sweet watermelons.

When they get ripe on the vine, they are so much better than those that are picked green and 'ripen' on the way to your house.
AWESOME!!!

Just picked my first tomato last week. Have over 70 plants and many are loaded.

A little piece of heaven.

Our grape tomatoes have taken off and I love the fact that my 2 and half year old loves to go to the garden and pick his own grape tomatoes and eat them right then and there. Gotta watch him though because he will eat so many and make himself sick. Looks like a squirrel sometimes with his cheeks so full of tomatoes.

The ones I get from my neighbor are called Goliaths. One slice covers a slice of bread.

Wow. Our's have already come and gone here in S. LA.

But I'll take a Cherokee Purple if you have one.

Wow. It's a good thing (and a rare thing) to see a thread on VN that don't involve spillover from the cesspool that is the Political Forum and/or having people going at each other tooth and nail.

I say VN needs more of these type of threads and less of the threads that have become common in the past year of so.

LOL Oh geez, there's a political board? Wherever you have politics and religion you have nothing but problems. Thanks for the heads up, I wont be looking for it.
