| Anyone use a Chiropractor??? I have been experiencing terrible lower back pain for a couple of months now and I am not finding any relief with my Primary Care Physician so I have been debating trying out a Chiropractor. I admit I have been skeptical in the past but at this point I would try anything. So, if you have ever gone and had a good experience I would like to hear about it. I have been looking at Exodus Chiropractic but just not quite ready to pull the trigger. Let me hear your experiences or suggestions. If there is one thing I have learned.... it is that VolNation is never short on opinions.
Thanks in advance! |

| My hips were out of line and the pain got progressively worse until I was hardly able to walk. I was on a 16 treatment plan and was able to see a difference very early on. It feels incredible to go get sorted out. |

| I went for a long time. Beware though because once you start getting aligned regularly you have to keep going of you feel like ****. That was the case for me anyway. |

I've had dealings with Sunshine Chiro and can recommend them.

| | Renaissance Man | Have you tried an Orthopedist that specializes in spines? KOC would be my first option. |

Thanks in advance! | Chiropractic works, it just gets a bad rap from some. I tried Exodus Chiropractic a few years ago, I wouldn't recommend them. They try to hard sell you on a year long plan which isn't really necessary. Plus its a bunch of religious weirdos who constantly remind you, "we don't heal you, god heals you".
I've found a really good massage therapist works better. I see a girl downtown that has helped me tremendously. She owns Gypsy Hands. She's kinda hippy, but she really knows her stuff. |

| I'd recommend a massage therapist. I was having severe lower back pain that was radiating up n down the spine n musculature. I skipped the doc n get a massage and 5 weeks later haven't had any problems at all |

| Thanks for the replies. I think I am going to try Exodus because it's only $35 for the xray, consut, and 1st adjustment but thanks for the heads up on the hard sell so I can be prepared if they try it on me.
I am also going to get in with a message therapist because A) I have never had a professional massage and B) if I am going to pay for someone to rub on my back I would rather it be during a relaxing massage than in PT or something like that.
The nurse practioner at my PCP suggested Results Physiotherapy but they seemed quite "quacky" to me as well. $70 each visit and the wanted me to come in 3-4 times a week for 2-3 months.....Forget that! |

Relaxing massage doesn't help. A therapeutic massage only feels good when its over.
Enjoy all the fake smiles and happiness at exodus. Creeps me out! |

Unless every single employee has won the mega millions that morning and discovered the cure for all cancers and patented cold fusion. It's fake. |
