I thought Keebler Fudge Sticks were for the gay community and the little round cookies with the hole in the middle were for straights

I know this is likely not what you're implying, but I think this has been blown way out of proportion. This is certainly not marketing to "Gays" only. It was a single post on their Facebook page coinciding with annual gay pride celebrations. Sure, it was a show of support for LGBT community and I am confident there is a marketing angle to it also; however, this was not a new widespread marketing campaign directed specifically to gay consumers.

Many companies already show a lot of internal support for their LGBT employees, and I think it is a great thing that they showed public support during gay pride. It makes sense to do it when they did, and helps to explain why.

Please explain how their freedoms are being denied by someone criticizing a cookie. This should be really interesting.
I can't believe someone is actually this stupid.

You see, the "seeking to deny people freedoms" is a descriptor characterizing many of the idiots that are creating the backlash against this cookie, because it happens to have a gay theme- these people typically tend to be against equal rights for homosexual couples, ergo they are seeking to deny people freedoms that others have.

I'm sorry that this had to be explained. Society makes me sad.

Let me see if I understand the issues:
1. Eating them sends a signal that you are gay?
or
2. Eating them turns you gay?

I'm not seeking to deny anyone rights...I may be conservative but I fully believe they should have the same rights as everyone else.

And the rainbow Oreo is a symbol of the LGBT community. Same thing.

Too many stupid societies and organizations out there that are actually the reason for all the prejudice we see.

White Males are being oppressed

I'm going to start the White Association of Misunderstood Males Interested in Equality Society.
Or WAMMIES for short.
