Cornhole Boards Questions

Does anyone make or know of any person/place that makes good cornhole boards?

I don't want the plastic ones. I'm looking to make this game a gift.

Got ours at bass pro. They are plain wood so you can paint or decal however you want. Think they were 129.99?

There are tons of web sites out there that have the dimensions of the boards. That's how my father in law and I made ours. Got the blue prints off line and made them at home. It was not hard at all as long as you have some saws or wood working tools.

This is the way to go if you have the tools. Cheap and pretty easy.

This way you can make any design you want and not really have to pay extra for it either. People can get creative with it.

I saw a set of boards that some Carolina fans made. They had a rooster on the board with the hole for the board as the rooster's... well you get the picture. Pretty funny boards and they were all hand painted too. Some one had some time and effort in these boards.

I used to make and sell a lot of boards. Don't have the space to make them anymore though. Its not too difficult though. If you're going to make your own, do yourself a favor and do it right by using 1/2" birch plywood. Also, be sure to put at least four coats of polycyclic on them before playing. It makes all the difference in the world in the way the boards look and play so much better. I like six coats on mine, lightly sanding after the fourth coat. This is what will give the board a shiny professional looking finish.

Last year the threads of Vol fans selling them ran rampant up in here.

Here are mine I made from plans I found online. They weren't hard to make at all and their far more solid than any you will buy at a store. I drilled two holes in the side of mine and made handles with round stock and rope because their so heavy.

If you paid $130 for plain ones you got taken my friend. Around here you can get them custom made for $110 easily.

I would also like a nice set of boards but prefer to take the easy way out. Any idea where to purchase?
