My wife was diagnosed with sleep apnea. Sleeps with the aid of a machine which forces air into her at times during the night. Mask is sometimes uncomfortable but she says she sleeps much better and is no longer so fatigued during the day.

I think it contributed because it can increase your chances of heart problems.

definitely am working on it. As you should no, the Army loves to work their way around everything, so I'm hoping eventually agree that the next step is a sleep study.

Also if you have a weight problem the sleep problems often go away if you get to a better weight. Good luck
This simply isn't true. I got both life ins and health ins. after being diagnosed with sleep apnea.

Mask sucks but 2 hour nap with the machine is still better than 8 hours of sleep without it.

when? About two years ago it got infinitely easier to get health and life insurance to the judicial rulings basically outlawing insurance companies from banning people with pre-existing conditions. He was right, just a long time ago.

Well long time ago isn't really relevant to OP is it? Just trying to help.

I know and I wasn't bashing you at all. Just pointing out the differences in getting health care now. Most people don't know about the new health care standards. Sorry if you felt like I slighted you.

Could be a polyp in your sinus or nasal cavity. That is what I had, surgery removed it and I went back to getting great sleep, had no idea how little rest I was getting. ENT can easily diagnose it.

You positive? I was told 25% by someone in my unit today. He has sleep apnea, but had it before he enlisted so I think he just gets it covered while he's in, but not real sure.
