facebook is a multi-billion dollar juggernaut
take a ride down US 74 west of Shelby, NC and take a look at the massive data center FB is building there, that's not a fad. Facebook Plans North Carolina Data Center » Data Center Knowledge

| | VN conasewer | what it's "worth" doesn't really factor into my thinking. Do people honestly use facebook to drive their buying habits? Just because a friend liked a company's page does that make you more likely to buy from that company. Connecting people is nice but that's not what will keep fb's value high |

| Facebook’s value is in the data it collects but they’re not too concerned with selling you on products because your friends may like them, they much prefer to know what you like so they can sell that information to other advertisers so they can spend their money more efficiently.
Will people stop using Facebook? Long term who knows but in the short term I doubt it, enough 3rd party companies have embedded with Facebook that it seems to be making the transition from toy to utility. |

| Facebook grew and left Myspace in its tracks, now that FB has gotten greedy I look for it to peak in the next year or so and something new will come along and it will become like Myspace. |

I was going to try Spotify but they tied it to a Facebook account so I passed. I wanted to vote for TN in the ESPN gameday contest but you had to log in with Facebook so I didn't. |

| The IPO suggest some investors do feel it's a fad.
I personally believe people will outgrow it.
There is only so much about ones self that they can post online before their friends just stop caring.
It will have to expand to other areas for it to grow.
