Just heard on the radio facebook brought in $6bill in ad revenue last year. Meanwhile old fashion television brought in $40bill. GM is also pulling all Facebook ads because they don't think it's worth it.

An intestine concept they were just starting to discuss before I got out of the car is FB is pitching word-of-Mmouth advertising to investers as a potential source of revenue. In essence they are working on a way to sell advertising of you telling your friends to check out x product.

I don't know how long it'll last. But I just got home from work and saw birthday wishes from everybody from grammar school friends to current friends at work, and everybody in between. It is phenomenal to see every facet of your life represented in a line, one after the other, and see the friends and family you care about.

The solution to that is making sure your "friends" are actually your "friends".

I've been using this as advertising for the bike shop I work at. For every mention of our shop in a post, the fan gets 10% of any one accessory. Seems to be working pretty well.
