Forging Equipment

I'm looking for forging/blacksmithing equipment, particularly a steel forging anvil. If there's anybody around Blount county that has some gear like that, I'd be interested in purchasing it.

Man - I would love to get into blacksmithing - it is so cool. I just don't have the space at the house plus, I have a bunch of other stuff going on. Have you checked craigslist? How about Harbor Freight tools?

Haven't looked at Craigslist; Harbor freight sells little 30 pound anvils but they're cast iron.

Here's what I would do: I would look up local blacksmiths on google. Call them and tell them what you intend to do - or just go see them - then ask them where to get all that stuff. They will know.

Might be worth a shot...I think I'm gonna try to look in some of the local antique/junk shops first.
