She reunites with Jack at the end as she dies and goes to heaven. Everybody's happy.

It would have been cool if Titanic's sister ship, The Olympic, had never been demolished in a scrapyard. It would have made a very cool museum, since it was very identical to Titanic.

Interesting conspiracy theory surrounding the Olympic, the theory goes that the ship that actually sunk was the Olympic and not the Titanic.

Read somewhere that there is a camp that blames weather and mirages for the California failing to help. It was on the weather channels website.

No way! Starting back up is what was literally forcing water into the gaping hole at an alarming rate. If they would have stayed put after initially shutting down, that might have kept the ship afloat a few more hours.

I'd never heard of this until you posted it, but after reading a bit about it, I still can't figure out how the two could just be switched. The ships weren't identical, and it literally takes less than a split second to distinguish one from the other. From what I read, it just seemed like the conspiracy theorists simply thought the nameplates were switched on the two ships, but that wouldn't have worked. The images from the bottom of the ocean are conclusively NOT the Olympic. Could you elaborate any more on the conspiracy theories you have read?

When I went to Branson, MO with a family last Spring we went to their Titanic museum. It was pretty cool. They had these different simulators set up. One was for people to dip their hands in a big bowl of freezing cold water (set to the predicted temperature of the ocean that night) and it was unbearable after a minute. The other was an elevated deck that simulated the ship's angle as it was sinking and how hard it would be to have tried to reach a safe place.

They have one in Pigeon Forge, too. It's a nice mix of informative and interactive. Seeing some of the stuff they have from the ship itself is really cool.

Billy? Leo wasn't actually on the ship. It's a movie(3-D doesn't make it real).

Did you know the name Titanic is commonly mispronounced. It should be spoken with a short "i" sound.

TIT-an-ic ;)
