Average women like her get treated like royalty. Now granted, she is not pretty, but she is not fugly, either. Just average or slightly below average. Yet, it would not surprise me if she really does get freebies and extra perks when she is out and about.
This passes for pretty in a woman's mind in the US and UK. But outside of the Anglosphere, she would be lucky to get the time of day.
