I have an old cat (indoor only) already so I won't be taking it in. At best I would be okay with feeding it and allowing it to hang out if it weren't bugging me all the time (which it is now). If I go outside I can hardly walk around because it is so underfoot trying to rub on my leg.

If you feed it, put the food at the edge of your property, not near the house. If you don't want to take it in, call animal control.

Have you tried putting posters or fliers up saying you found it? Maybe that would work.

That's in the planning stage but there's no good place to put them up. Probably would need to stuff them in people's mailbox and I just haven't had time.
