| I would like to see a daily update on the rock as a sticky...every day a noon, take a shot of the rock and post it. |

| I would recommend that you pm anyone who mentioned interest in donating with the PayPal email address. You can get a PayPal debit card if you setup a PayPal business account (free). |

| I would like to donate only not using Pay Pal. Had my ID stolen from that site a few years ago. They denied it, but it was the only site I had used my card on in like 6 months. |

| Jake, I think the poster who recommended setting up an account at the paint store has the right idea. There would be no concerns about donations/charities and those that wish to contribute funds could send them directly to the paint store (I am sure they would not mind a balance) or to you to deposit. Just make certain that the account is restricted to a select few and as you all graduate/move replace yourselves.
BTW, awesome job this weekend. |

BTW, awesome job this weekend. | Great I like this. Gonna check into this. However, can ppl send money to an acct at the paints store from anywhere? I will check on it.

| Jake, Do you have a mailbox or mailing address or something that you can post? Some of us can just mail you a contribution if that makes it more simple than trying to setup something thru PayPal. I don't know which way is the easiest?

| What's the protocol for painting the rock? Gotta pay someone, or can anyone with a bucket of paint do it? |

That's enough for me. | Per another thread on the rock ... you're right on the money Jake. There are very few ways a fan can make a real difference in the success of their school. This is one of them. It's easy to stay behind our keyboards and make snide comments and bold predictions. This is a way we can make a real, sustainable contribution that can last long after many of us lose the ability or desire to participate in it. Future VN members could carry on the tradition. Athletes many years from now might take OVs to TN to get their pictures taken with their name on the rock ... and stay to play football because of our dedicated fan base and beautiful school.
Sound far-fetched? It's not. This is how traditions are started, by a few dedicated people willing to give of their time and money for a bigger cause. As Jake said, if you have any question about how important last weekend's rock painting is to parents and their kids, go check out the recruiting forum.
I'm in ... money and time.
And Jake, I still owe you that beer from last Saturday.
