For if only one person would have been carrying at the theater shooting a lot of lives could have been spared. I bet if you have a gun pulled on you your tune will change. |

Most people with that attitude toward carrying a weapon have led a sheltered life. Ive talked to many people who feel like you do that have no idea what goes on in the world around them. Most don't even watch the news. I see something on the news almost every evening where I think if that person had been carrying would they still have been a victim. To me carrying a weapon is like insurance against bad people. You do have insurance don't you? |

| Use your head to protect yourself…
there are rare occasions I’ll have a gun with me…out on open water on the boat for an extended weekend, backpacking recreation areas that are for the most part unregulated…but people who pack in a public park, library or Kroger project to me another chapter and verse of ‘short mans disease’…they are attempting to compensate for an inadequacy in their lives… |

| I've had a carry permit for about 5 yrs. Out here in west Texas, having a little protection in my truck makes me feel safer. I seldom carry a gun on my person. If nothing else, it has gotten me out of several speeding tickets. By law, when asked for ID, you have to show your carry permit as well as driver's license. I have yet to have a state trooper fail to thank me for having a carry permit. |
