The Unofficially Official Civil War Thread

All the CW programming that's been on TV today has made me want to make a CW thread.

The Gettysburg documentary on History has been pretty good. I wish History made more programs like it. "Lee and Grant" tomorrow night should be worth watching.

You're correct. The Grant v Lee and CW Roundtable threads are general discussion . Try to keep Grant/Lee free of "The Cause" because it will degenerate into the same old pissing contest.

I started the Lee/Grant thread. You and I were able to keep up a pretty good running debate without bringing up "The Cause."

I've always been partial to Burnside's whiskers. Gotta admire the dedication to grow such an epic beard/mustache thing.

All of you who associate with the confederacy can suck my big orange dick. If you're from East Tennessee, you can suck it twice because you're ****ing fake or ignorant.

Yes, I've been drinking.

Yes, I've been drinking.

Yeah, because no East Tennesseans fought for the Confederacy.

Has anybody read Vicksburg, 1863 By Winston Groom, or an other of his works? He was on the Grant/Lee show. Maybe I'm being nit-picky, but I like historians who just tell the facts. A few of the historians they have on there seem to go overboard in embellishing the emotions/motivations/etc. of the historical characters... I guess they have to do that some to keep ppl interested.
