| Gee, don't see near as many people clowning on Coach O since he outrecruited the sainted Phil Fulmer this winter. |

| I don't understand why you guys put so much emphasis on recruiting rankings anyway! You haven't won CRAP by having "the best recruiting class". WHO CARES? This is so objective, and cannot take intangibles into account. A well put together team as a whole will be greater than the sum of its parts... The Sugar Vols are a great example of this. Individually, they weren't great, but they were one hell of a TEAM.
Football is about putting W's on the board, not "Top 15 recruiting classes". |

| | agent of chaos | He is a baffoon. Where's that wall around Memphis he was supposed to build?
So he got a few recruits in for one year. It's not like he can coach them, anyway.

I tend to agree. The rankings are so subjective that I'm not sure anyone really knows what the difference is between the #15 class and the #20 class and so on. |

| Normally we wouldn't have much else to talk about at this time of year... but instead of closely watching and waiting for CPF to rise from the ashes or stumble, I have a novel idea...
Grab a glass of the Kool-Aid and enjoy CBP and his men... with a smathering of Delmonico and the Diamond Vols. :D |

Everyone has used his recruiting as the last line of defense against criticism. As '98 gets further and further in the rear view mirror, it becomes more and more obvious that we aren't an elite program. We're the SEC equivalent of Texas Tech. |

So he got a few recruits in for one year. It's not like he can coach them, anyway. | Let's see, Orgeron has multiple National Championship rings as an assistant and Pete Carroll said he was a bigger loss to the USC staff than Volnation favorite Norm Chow. I'll say he can coach a bit. Maybe if mini-Fulmer had recruited any SEC level talent at Ole Miss, the Rebs wouldn't have been as bad this year. |
