Never ate there before. Reilly rd is closed at the morgaton intersection and yadkin rd is closed off just as you cross the light next to the big apple.

wow, those are some long stretches of closed roads. How's Skibo? Did Spring Lake or Raeford get hit bad too? What about west of post?

Skibo is ok, spring lake or raeford didn't sustain any major damage that I'm aware of. Simmons army airfield got hit pretty
good I've been told. Parts of Bragg blvd are still closed.

Little to no damage west of Bragg. I feel lucky though as the tornado touched down a half mile after it passed over my house.

wow, glad you're safe 7th. From what I understand everyone else in my company (i'm attached to a different battalion) is ok and didn't suffer anything too severe. My Team Leader does have a hole in his living room. He's not with me now, but in a different part of Afghanny and is supposed to be heading back next month. They might let him go early. I won't be back until August.

Also all the families in the battalion I'm here with seem to be ok, but from your reports and others that I'm hearing, things are pretty bad there. Good luck with everything, I'm sure everyone will be needed for cleaning all this up.

Thanks bill, yeah things are pretty rough around here for some. I figure the tornado will be rated a strong 2 or 3 considering the damage. From the pictures I've seen, it literally looks like a giant bomb exploded. Where there used to be buildings, there's nothing but a slab left.

It ended up being more of a typical southern snow event. Got three or so inches in the morning and most of it was melted away by evening. Now its just cold rain.

Hopefully nothing serious. Seems like dyersburg gets hit with a tornado every couple years.

Dyersburg, Halls and Jackson are notorious for getting bad weather. I hope there's nothing too bad tonight

EMA is having a briefing this afternoon.

IMO, the bulk of the most severe weather will be north of us in Southern Mo., Indiana, Illinois, and Kentucky.

We will probably see a good squall line begin to build in Arky and move across the Miss. river, into West TN.

Any super cells ahead of that line will be the ones to watch
