| i was the mascot for my high school and i am looking to get a scholarship somewhere for doing it at the college level (preferably as smokey). does anyone know how i can get info on this?

| Looks like Delta State offers a mascot scholarship of $250 per semester + book allowance. From what I can tell a majority of D-1 schools do not even offer cheerleading scholarships. | |

| thanks. i called UT athletics and they said they offer a ful scholarship but i have to audition. around the time of the O & W game. anyone know when that is?

| man i really hope i can get the scholarship. there are like 3 or 4 of them and i really want to get one of the positions because my grades are definitely sub-par.

| haha funny story. our cross town rival actually started a fight with me this season. in our stadium. all of our fans jumped onto the sidelines and pulled him off me and beat the crap out of him. four people were arrested for assault.

| The qualifications to get into UT are getting harder every year. If you have sub par grades you probably need to go the junior college route first. Good Luck! | |
