| I would have just responded by asking why cars have to drive on the road since paved roads were originally built for bicycles before cars were mass produced. |

| Stopped to get gas at the station. There were two mountain bikes parked by the door. A minute later, not two, but three people emerge--two riders, with one carrying a toddler in a back carrier.
I'm not sure about the safety of riding around on the roads with a youngster on your back. But they did have a helmet on the tot. So I guess if the kid fell out the right way and landed on its head, at least that much would be protected.

| On the topic of a**hole drivers. I was riding about a week or two ago and a huge semi towtruck type vehicle was traveling at about 60-65 heading at my brother and I who were cruising just over 25 or so. The driver decided to lay on his horn and pretend to swerve at us just as he got even with us. I was less then a split second from a serious serious wreck. I never have understood people like that and their ignorance. | |

I tow my kid around in trailer through the subdivision but would never go on main roads even with a rear carrier. | |
