Yeah, I've nabbed it from time to time before, but now I will have it for quite a while as he recovers.

The course profile was not as I expected. Not flat in the least. Road racing after being dropped is not fun at all. Mountain bike racing is still fun if you get stuck alone.

Different frame geometry, handlebars. It's designed so the rider sits more upright.

Tied for second on a hotly contested Strava segment tonight. 21.1 mph average over a 3 mile stretch or something...into a fierce headwind. Completely blew my load getting that, though. #1 is 23.4mph or something. Within reach for me on a calm day.

It was pretty bad, but I blew my load for the rest of the ride on that one segment.

Very minimal miles. Anyone interested?

A fierce headwind can slow me 5+ mph below normal speeds.

Did 50 yesterday at 19.8 mph with some good elevation gain. Come on Mt Mitchel.

Me, too. I literally dropped to 13mph for the next 6 miles until the wind CHANGED DIRECTIONS. So I had a headwind heading home, too.
