A man can never know of too many good BBQ places, especially when traveling.

If there are any in your area, post them here and what style it is.

Why aren't you taking issue with volger? He said Kansas City has great barbecue.

I didn't pay any attention to his post.

90% of the BBQ I've eaten sucks.

Centre Point in Hendersonville TN. is by far the best (IMO) and nothing else compares....except for mine!

And Just for the record, I'm not being arrogant. I f'ing hate sweet BBQ. BBQ and honey is an oxymoron to me. Most places try too hard to make their BBQ "special". IMO...BBQ doesn't need a bunch of "special ingredients", just a little love.

Jimmy Carl's Lunch Box in Nashville. Located in the gulch in the old station inn. They still have live music and the bbq is pretty dang good. This is becoming a local favorite of mine...so don't tell too many people about it.

Center Point now sucks since it changed hands.

Whole Hog in Little Rock is best pulled Pulled Pork.
Best ribs, Rendezvous dry rub.
Best Brisket, Cokers in Leander, TX.

In Bham:

Full Moon - try the outside, sliced pork; then set aside time for a nap

Avoid Dreamland unless you like undercooked spare ribs.

Totally agree. I hate people who think bbq is all about the sauce when in reality its all about the smoke. Good bbq needs very little sauce, and great bbq needs nothing.

Havent visited the Dreamland in Bham, but I have in Baton Rouge and Tuscaloosa. The best BBQ pulled pork I have eaten have been at those two locations.

Also if you are ever in NOLA, try Voodoo BBQ. They have excellent ribs and BBQ pork sandmaches
