Well, it's wrong no matter how you try to shoehorn it. To my knowledge, she never quantified how much of an injun she was, only that she had it in her ancestry. Her DNA and one of the worlds preeminent DNA researchers qualified her claim as accurate.

Just because you have an ancestor in an ethnic group doesnt mean you automatically have that ethnic group as you only receive 50% from each parent. So there is only a 50% chance those genes are passed to you. If your ancestors is 5 generations or later, its not likely you received any.

My great grandmother was full blooded Cherokee and I don't claim it.

Me too. My dads dad was haöf cherokee. Guess that makes me 1/8 cherokee if there isnt any more from moms side. My mom and i both have very high, prominent cheek bones.
