The guy stood up against what was at the time a popular military action. You might not have liked his politics, but its tough to knock his resolve.

at least he died after surgery, if he and the democrats had gotten their wish regarding healthcare, he'd still be waiting to be seen by a urologist.

can't say that I'm sorry to see him gone. His remarks concerning the marines accused of massacring civilians in Haditha were particularly appalling. His refusal to apologize after they were all acquitted of any wrongdoing should earn him the pineapple treatment.

Gall bladder surgery seems minor. He must have had a lot other health problems. At 77, that's expected.

My wife is an OR nurse..she said that it was leaky bowel, which can happen - but is usually caught right when it happens during the surgery. Apparently his wasn't...or it wasn't repaired properly....
