I picked 25 years ago so that I could refer to someone currently employed. We could go back 30 years ago, and then speak of someone with 20 or so years of experience. I would say that the amount of intelligence we collected and used against Muslim nations/individuals was considerably less then.

I do not think that the ill will of some Muslims toward Christians or America started in 2001.

I know there aren't a lot of CNN watchers here, but did anyone else catch Christiane Amanpour's special on radical Islam in Great Britain? I knew that the situation was not good...but talk about sobering. There are some really messed up people out there. I could not believe some of the comments that were being made by educated citizens of a western country. Ridiculous. The radicals certainly have Islamization (sp?) of the west on the forefront of their minds.

Here is an example of what I'm talking about.

Quote:
An honored guest of the Ramadan dinner at the Pentagon this September was Hesham Islam, who infiltrated the highest echelons of the Ring despite proven ties to U.S. terror front groups and a shady past in his native Egypt.
All I can say is that obtaining a security clearance must have changed drastically or someone has completely perverted the system.

As far as recognizing the threat, I personally knew people in intelligence forty five years ago that recognized islam would soon be our worst enemy, as a matter of fact I worked the desk right next to a man that I consider to probably be the smartest man that I have ever been associated with, he was already trained in Chinese and Russian but was about to go to Arabic language school.

America's biggest problem is that we have been conditioned to give lip service to all things considered to be politically correct. (and those who formulate what is or is not PC usually have a secret agenda.)

They say there are three kinds of people in the world;

1. Those that make things happen.

2. Those that observed what is happening.

3. The absolutely clueless.

I'd love to give CNN an wedgie they would never forget, it makes the hair stand up on the nape of my neck just to walk into their PC regurgitating building.

Apparently this is not racist "Kill the boer, kill the farmer" | FTO

I have no idea what some of the 'educated citizens of a western country' were saying, maybe you or someone else can clue me in.

The supposedly educated citizens of the Netherlands are proceeding with prosectution of Geert Wilders for hate speech and not a word of what he says is not true.

This is the democrat plan also for America and there were six republican senators who could have singlehandedly prevented a similar law being passed in the USA, including both Alexander and Corker but they didn't.

The CNN special was focusing on the many radical Muslims who call Britain home. It included footage of their protests, speeches, etc. These guys were sparing no words to call for Muslim governance in the west. There were several highly educated (such as lawyers) Muslims who were the ring-leaders of the radical effort. The level of rhetoric they were using was straight up Osama bin Laden level...just sobering to see that coming from people who call Britain home. You know that we have the same type of people here, they just don't feel as comfortable being so vocal about it...yet. The program certainly didn't leave you with a warm fuzzy (as it shouldn't).

I can't help but feel that some moderate Muslims tacitly approve of what they are saying...but I also can't help but believe that there are a lot of Muslims who have retreated into their communities and while they do not approve of their methods, are not doing what, in my opinion, they *should* be doing to speak out against this type of stuff. It sucks that this is what the situation is....it's ridiculous.

You are deceiving yourself.

Part of the misunderstanding comes from translation of Arabic, 'islam' isn't derived from the word 'salaam' which means peace, 'islam' is derived from the word 'salama' meaning submission, islam means and has always meant 'submit or be conquered.'

(Not to mention the traditional aspect of islam, taqqiya, that mandates the purposeful deception of infidels.)

Moderate muslim??

This is a time of war," Barack Hussein (Hussein was the name of the grandson of Muhammed) Obama said. "Yet these Americans did not die on a foreign field of battle. They were killed here on American soil, in the heart of this great state, in the heart of this great American community." (speaking of the murders committed by Nidal Malik Hasan)

Obama talks out of both sides of his mouth, we (the gullible among us) hear one thing, the world of islam hears another.

The Prime Minister of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, publicly read an Islamic poem including the lines: “The mosques are our barracks, the domes our helmets, the minarets our bayonets and muslims our soldiers…”

Obama calls Erdogan a personal friend.

Obama and Erdogan are birds of a feather.

In November of 2009 Erdogan said: "I know that Bashir is not committing genocide in Darfur, because Bashir is a Muslim and a Muslim can never commit genocide."

So in the twentieth century muslims jihaded close to ten million Christian people (not counting the two muslim led Nazi SS divisions that helped round up about six million Jews) but it wasn't genocide.

Erdogan: The term "moderate Islam" is ugly and offensive -- Islam is Islam

‘These descriptions are very ugly, it is offensive and an insult to our religion. There is no moderate or immoderate Islam. Islam is Islam and that’s it.”

So you see in reality TennTrad, you are insulting islam with what you say.

Another close associate of Obama's, Moammar al-Gadaffi:
“We have four million Muslims in Albania. There are signs that Allah will grant Islam victory in Europe – without swords, without guns, without conquests. The fifty million Muslims of Europe will turn it into a Muslim continent within a few decades. Europe is in a predicament, and so is America. They should agree to become Islamic in the course of time, or else declare war on the muslims.”

From another speech by Gaddafi on al-Jazeera TV;

"There are elections in America now. Along came a black citizen of Kenyan African origins, a Muslim, who had studied in an Islamic school in Indonesia. His name is Obama. All the people in the Arab and Islamic world and in Africa applauded this man. They welcomed him and prayed for him and for his success, and they may have even been involved in legitimate contribution campaigns to enable him to win the American presidency."

Obama's revised American history 101.

Speaking at the University of Cairo, President Barack Hussein Obama said that Americans are indebted to Islam for the great contributions Muslims have made to the history and development of the United States.

“I know that Islam has always been a part of America’s story,” Mr. Obama told the throng of unenlightened Muslims. “The first nation to recognize my country was Morocco. . . And since our founding, American Muslims have enriched the United States.”

Jefferson had it right.

Obama has it wrong.

"He who knows nothing is closer to the truth than he whose mind is filled with falsehoods and errors."-Thomas Jefferson

Here is a real history lesson for al-Barry and all his sickening sycophants..
