I'm sure if the POTUS were a Republican he'd still feel the same way, "small stuff."

Harkin is a commie creep alongside John F. Kerry.

Seven state AGs (so far) sign up to oppose the Nelson compromise.

Quote:
"The Nebraska Compromise, which permanently exempts Nebraska from paying Medicaid costs that Texas and all other 49 states must pay, may violate the United States Constitution--as well as other provisions of federal law. In light of this unprecedented and highly questionable backroom deal, Texas will join South Carolina and other states in an effort to thoroughly review the constitutionality and legality of the Nebraska Compromise.

Because it disadvantages Texas taxpayers, the Texas Attorney General's Office will explore all available avenues to challenge and overturn this legally problematic provision.

Our democratic system of government depends upon transparency and openness--this backroom deal goes too far and must be challenged because Texas deserves better."

They better step it up. They're planning a vote Christmas Eve morning.

Even if they can possibly reconcile the senate and house bills and ram them through, they are facing a legal battle that will go to the supreme court.

Not that this fact gives me a huge surge of the warm fuzzies.

Yea I am pretty sure we lose that battle also. Depends on Kennedy of course, being the swing vote.

For obamacare you need Nelson.

For nelson you need prefereential treatment for Nebraska.

Hence nelson = payola, therefore obamacare = payola!

Houston we have a problem, we have a payolagate scandal on our hands!!

If pigs could vote the man with the most slop would always be elected swineherd, no matter how much slaughtering he did on the side.
