Obama Justice Department seeks to block enforcement of judgment against Iran for murder of 241 United States Marines:

In 1983, 241 United States Marines were murdered by a suicide bombing in which a Federal court ruled that Iran was complicit. The court ordered Iran to pay the families of the murdered service members $2.65 billion. The Boston Globe reports that the Obama Justice Department has, in an effort to appease Iran, intervened to quash the judgment; in other words, Barack Obama has sided openly with terrorists who murder U.S. Marines.

We reported previously that the Obama State Department (Hillary Clinton) has cut off funding for Freedom House and other organizations that report on human rights violations in Iran and other countries. Now the President of the United States and his Justice Department (Eric Holder) have made themselves, at least morally if not legally, willful accessories after the fact to terroristic violence against the Armed Forces of the United States.

Senator Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina) in a Judiciary Committee hearing last week asked Attorney General Eric Holder a question that befuddled the nation’s top cop could not answer.

Sen. Graham asked: “Can you give me a case in United States history where a[n] enemy combatant caught on a battlefield was tried in civilian court?”

The inquiry was followed by an extensive silence before Mr. Holder said: “I don’t know. I’d have to look at that. I think that, you know, the determination I’ve made. . .”

“We’re making history here, Mr. Attorney General,” Sen. Graham said. “I’ll answer it for you.

The answer is ‘no.’”

Robert Alt, deputy director of the Center for Legal and Judicial Studies at The Heritage Foundation, says that the Attorney General’s non-response raises a question about the political nature of the decision to try some Guantanamo Bay detainees in civilian court.

“You would anticipate that any legal decision of this nature would have been highly researched and that the attorney general would have been briefed on the questions of any prior usage,” Mr. Alt said. “The fact that he couldn’t even answer that question, I found startling.”

Mr. Alt pointed out that Al Qaeda was able to use the civilian trial of blind sheik Omar Abdel-Rahman in New York as an information-gathering tool — a list of unindicted co-conspirators was later found in a cave in Torah Borah, Afghanistan.

Holder wants a federal gun registration for all privately owned firearms.

Holder wants a national, permanent gun registration system administered by law enforcement. A registration of honest citizens that have cleared the federal background check for gun purchases with those records permanently retained by and shared among law enforcement.

Holder wants new federal authority to prohibit any person on the federal watch list (reported to be 400,000 names) from buying guns and supports confiscating guns from those on the list who possess them.

So, he doesn’t want due process protections for people who want to own guns. Even though we give those protections to people who, say, fly planes into buildings.

Attorney General Holder Reveals Aggressive Gun Control In Response to Ft. Hood Terror Attack.

"The President of the United States asked that politicians not use the Ft. Hood attack to engage in 'political theater.' It appears those committed to attacking gun owners and the Second Amendment simply can't help themselves and are engaged in blaming guns and gun owners on the heels of this terrorist attack. Sadly it looks like 'politics as usual,'" said LEAA's spokesperson, Ted Deeds.

After explaining and defending his decision to give enemy combatants constitutional protections and the right to public trial in civilian courts, Attorney General Holder revealed his support for a national gun owner registration scheme and authorizing the government to ban firearm possession for any person by merely adding that person's name to the terror watch list.

Obama approval rating falls below 50%.

Obama is below 50 percent with every age group of Americans except those between 18 and 29.

He's at 48 percent with people in the 30-49 range; 46 percent with people in the 50-64 range; and 42 percent with people 65 and over. Among those 18-29, he's at 61 percent.

Among racial groups: For the first time in the White House, Obama support among white Americans has fallen below 40 percent. He's at 39 percent among whites; 91 percent among blacks, and 70 percent among Hispanics.

Among income groups: For the first time in the White House, Obama is below 50 percent with every income group except those making less than $2,000 a month.

I suspect that approval ratings will decline among the 18-29 age group when they notice nasty little details like, going to jail for not having health insurance etc.

Actually Obama has fallen from about 99% to 91% among blacks, I suspect eventually a lot more will figure out that a lot of BHO's bull is merely empty promises and smiley faces. Many will come to realize that just because someone has a similar complexion, that doesn't neccessarily make them your friend and their middle class will not like the tax bite that's sure to follow this administration's reckless spending habits.

Obama's master plan looks to having everyone making less than $2,000 a month, (if not before, then after taxes) thereby increasing his approval rating!

Gallup has yearly average numbers for Bush.
