Beasley/Palin in 2012

Heard a rumor that this could be a ticket for the 2012 election. Everyone knows who Palin is... Beasley is the former Governor of South Carolina.

I have known David for a long time... He is a pretty good guy in my opinion. He is from my home town in SC. What do you guys think?

If your buddy adds Palin, his candidacy will be short lived.

Beasley didn't impress me very much as governor. The leftists wil probably try to make him take a stand on the Confederate flag issue and try to pin him down as a racist... which is what they would have done to Mark Sanford, also.

I think Palin would be toxic to any campaign.

Beasley took the flag down due to pressure... I could be wrong but I think this is going to be a strong ticket. I don't see anyone else as of right now who I would even consider in the Rep party that could be nearly as strong. Still too early but it seems to be gaining strength.

Like I said I haven't heard anything but a rumor. I am trying to get in touch with David now so maybe I will hear something later. One thing is for sure, if Obama keeps screwing up it will not take too strong of a ticket to beat him in 2012.

Any ticket with Palin will not receive my vote.

Palin's value was in generating buzz for an otherwise moribund McCain campaign. Once she proved to be an absolute idiot, her value evaporated altogether.

The poor chap who adds her is done.

If the R's want to win in '12 it better be a Romney Thompson ticket.

Romney could be okay, but Thompson is done.

That idiot McCain would not have got the number of votes that he did if it was not for her.

Kind of an aside to this issue.. I was listening to the radio on the way home last night and Bob Barr's VP running mate was on, and that guy sang sweet music to my ears. He's the one anyone outside of the left should be voting for. Anyone remember his name?

And Palin would be a disaster at this point. Too many people just do not like her and some of it is justifiable. She made too many key mistakes, especially stepping down as governor, for her to be a legitimate candidate.

Answered my question myself: Wayne Allyn Root. The dude was great and said exactly what I've starated saying since November. We need to get out of the bedroom and leave most social stuff to the states and get the Gov't out of our lives and wallets. I'm going to start really following him now.

I don't care who the Rs run up the flag pole this time so much as what the candidates have stood up for in their past. The Rs have lost my automatic vote. I will be looking for the most likely to reign in spending and the power of the federal government, regardless of the little letter besides their name on the ballot.
