Politics had nothing to do with the real estate market implosion, save a push to make home ownership universal, which is a nice goal.

Intersting in the unemployment hoopla us that we have seen a absolutely unsustainable leap in productivity, so tightening the belts is over. Hiring has to begin again soon.

yup. i was watching cnbc a couple of days ago and one of obama's economic advisosr was on there arguing with a republican i don't remember the name of. the entirety of obama's guy's argument was that republicans clearly wanted policemen to be fired. He actually said "i can't believe you are arguing that policemen should be fired" when the guys simply said that a tax cut would have been a better use of the money. now if we take out the fact that almost none of hte stimulus bill went to keeping police in their jobs my question is when did we decide policemen can never lose their jobs? or any govt worker for that matter? why are their jobs far more important the rest of the country?

odd how the left only likes police officers (and the military for that matter) when they can be portrayed as the innocent victims of republican malfeasance
