Election Night Thread

Corzine has been called a loser in NJ... I honestly have no idea what stiff the GOP ran out there, but oh well.

Big Night for R's

Complete domination in VA and Christie is projected winner in NJ.

So much for the death of the R party.

Defeating Corzine in a state like NJ is huge.

How the heck does the Republican candidate in the upstate NY Congressional election have 5% of the vote after dropping out of the race AND endorsing the Democrat?

Glad to see Jerseyites finally realized Corzine was flat out destroying their state. Arguably the worst American governor of the last 20 years. I'll take Blago and The Body over him all day.

Thought it was interesting that since 1974 what ever party was in the white house has been opposite of the VA Governor....

So what is going on here? A referendum on Obama or a general disdain for incumbents in tough times?

The establishment GOP leadership will jump on the bandwagon and claim victory in 4... 3... 2...

The best thing the GOP could do right now is shove the dinosaurs into a dark room and leave them there until after the 2010 election.

I wouldn't read much of anything into tonight's results. Corzine and Deeds are putrid candidates.

General dislike of incumbents.

Saw some interesting CNN polling that shows Obama below 50% on handling of every major issue but still over 50% in approval rating. I guess charisma goes a long way.

She's a Democrat. Although by Atlanta standards she's to the right.
