Another $900 billion health care idea by the idiot left

How can anyone be stupid enough to vote for these fools? Higher taxes and insurance premiums for those who actually work seems to be their only objective.

Quote:
WASHINGTON – Sen. Max Baucus on Monday pushed a new health care plan including an industry fee to help pay for covering the uninsured as President Barack Obama said insurance companies must share accountability for the troubled system.

The Finance Committee is the last best hope for a bipartisan bill since four of five congressional committees have produced partisan proposals. Baucus, D-Mont., has said he would move forward on his own if there's no agreement by Sept. 15.

Meanwhile, Obama said in a Labor Day speech in Cincinnati that a health insurance system should work as well for all Americans as it does for the insurance industry.

"They should be free to make a profit. But they also have to be fair. They also have to be accountable," the president said. "That's what we're talking about — security and stability for folks who have health insurance, help for those who don't, coverage they need at a price they can afford, finally bringing costs under control — that's the reform that's needed."
Quote:
Under the Baucus, plan health insurance exchanges, with information on different plans and prices, would allow small groups and individuals to buy policies at lower rates. Medicaid would be expanded to cover more low-income people. Nonprofit cooperatives would be established as an alternative to for-profit insurance companies, giving consumers more choices. Tax credits would allow low-and-middle income Americans to buy private coverage.

The package would cost under $900 billion over 10 years

I wouldn't give it that much credit. The three highlighted words were enough to draw a chuckle.

When has a government giveaway program EVER saved a taxpayer money?

Ending the Hidden Tax – Saving You Money: Right now, providers in Tennessee lose over $1.2 billion in bad debt which often gets passed along to families in the form of a hidden premium “tax”.1 Health insurance reform will tackle this financial burden by improving our health care system and covering the uninsured, allowing the 133 hospitals2 and the 18,560 physicians3 in Tennessee to better care for their patients

let's not forget this little tidbit from the Baucus plan:

Up to $3,800 fine for failure get health insurance

Quote:
A top senator is calling for fines of up to $3,800 on families who fail to get medical insurance after a health care overhaul goes into effect.
