Some of his views on things like the CIA and Federal Reserve are a little out there, but IMHO he is dead accurate with what he says about the economy and fiscal responsibility. He is one of the few that actually have a voting record to back up his rhetoric. |

| | doo doo doo | I said this before but if the election was delayed a year (until the market and economy tanked) he would have stood a real chance at getting the R nomination and possibly the POTUS.

| I wish he would run as an independent in the next election with some one else who is somewhat free thinking, may be Joe Leiberman (or heck Joe the Plumber)

| independents and third party candidates need to realize that they will never be relevant in a US Presidential election. At least not until they can score more governorships and congressional seats.

I'd definitely vote for him over Obama, but the GOP can do better IMO. |

The original federal reserve act called for any profits to be returned to the US Treasury, as far as I know not one dime has ever been returned, on the contrary, we owe the owners of the Fed more than we could possible pay in a thousand years.
Andrew Jackson, after putting the kibash on the central bank of his time, was able to completely pay off the national debt in three years, without any such thing as an income tax, which is unconstitutional in and of itself btw. Quote:

Paul as an idependent would only siphon off enough Republican votes to get that idiot, Obama, elected again. |

| Ron Paul would have been MUCH better than McCain. Sadly, I passed on him in 08 because I bought into the negative hype and voted for Mit. But, after it was too late, I did some research and just dig the guy. I fully plan on supporting him as far as he can go (hopefully R nominee) in 2012, but at the end of the day I unfortunately will just have to vote the opposite ticket as Obama for fear of my lost vote will keep him in office. I honestly think we need to have a 3rd and 4th slot on the national scene's ballot, but I just don't see that happening anytime soon.

| Ron Paul was the only candidate I donated money too this past election.
As far as the weak on national defense remark, go back and read his philosophy on foreign policy. He makes a lot of sense.
