American taste for soft toilet roll 'worse than driving Hummers' | Environment | guardian.co.uk

the only solution i see to this is that libs need to volunteer for mass suicide. imagine how much poop and toilet paper would disappear if this happened.

I am a fairly environmentally minded guy, but I would love to know how they define a "virgin forest." There is no way there is enough harvestable virgin forest in the US for us to be getting 70 % of our paper product from it a year. Most of our paper products come from agriculturally grown forests.

you have to be an idiot to try getting out your message by looking down on people who prefer soft toilet paper to the hotel variety.

no, including Sheryl.

She was only saying all that to show solidarity with Lance and his lone testicle.

Man. I thought the whole world had been following her idea and that I had to do my part as well. I wondered why I was the only one who smelled like crap all day long.

They compare the number to recycled so I guess virgin forest to them means cutting down a tree regardless of how or why it was grown.

Just imagine all of the trees that were grown that would not have otherwise. They're looking at this all wrong.

Can't stand the "John Wayne toilet paper".

It's rough, tough, and won't take crap off anybody.

No, Sheryl Crow never meant that statement for HER, just everyone else. That's what cracks me up about the greenies. I have a son, so that means overtime on nickelodeon, and it strikes me how the green propaganda is constantly on, guilting the kids to live without power, unless they are watching TV of course. Yet they are ramping up for some dumb kid award show, where they will use enough energy to power a neighborhood for 2 months of normal use in one night. Like Al Gore flying in his personal jet and using all that fossil fuel to yell at me for driving an SUV....
