If I were in Congress I'd immediately seek to launch an ethics probe into Barney Frank's dealings with Fannie/Freddie and how his multi-year relationship (they were lovers) with one of their executives led him to refuse any attempt at reforming the subprime lending market.

Yes, because none of those elected officials in DC ever beg for money and then use it as inefficiently as possible.

If by not doing well, you mean that their gross profit margin has dropped from 19.5% to 17.5%, and their net profit margin holding steady between 6% and 7%, over three years, then I assume you are correct...

Dude, you just said you want to launch a probe into Barney Frank! That’s

OK, now that I got that immature attempt at humor out of the way, I do agree that he and many others in congress and really congress as a whole need to be investigated.

Sorry, MG I just couldn’t let that one go. I am enjoying your Rand references, by the way.

My wife just e-mailed me and said there are hundreds of people outside her office building holding signs for GM and chanting. She says there are plenty of local news channels covering it, I guess I'll find out what they were chanting later.

That is what most of our elected officials are telling us now, either outright or by their actions.

Yeah that leadership we got from the first of your two cited elections brought us wonderful leadership. Mark it down Pelosi, Reid, Franke and Dodd will all have statues built in their honor.

If you truly believe we have effective politicians looking out for us you have the mental capacity of a grape.

The jury is still out on Obama, we'll have to wait two or three years to see how good or bad he is, was or will be.
