Quote of the night

"Because nothing brings greater happiness in life than to serve a cause greater than yourself."

That speech had tons of wonderful lines, delivered eloquently and passionately, but I think this was the best.

yes - a great line. right down the middle of the republican platform, which is all about the greater good - you know, universal health care, public education, welfare, etc.

btw, Tom Ridge just called McCain "John Bush."

Since when are UHC and Welfare for thw greater good? Both programs hurt the majority to help the minority and the long trm ramifications have proven disastrous. If those are your platforms, I understand your love for Obama.

I am just ready for a politician to stand up and tell people to "get off your ass, put down the bong/beer, get off the porch and find a freakin' job and we won't need all of these damn social programs that are dragging this country down to third-world country status!!!!!!" I would vote for that person in a heartbeat!!!

Did anyone watch MSNBC after the speech?? I was watching fox, but I knew what they were going to say so I switched over to MSNBC and it showed Andrea Mitchel down on the floor when all the balloons were falling and everyone in the crowd was piling up the balloons around her so the screen shot was just this head and all the baloons stacked around her and more balloons being thrown her way. It was HILARIOUS and CLASSIC

I beleive in helping people who try to help there selves. I work 40+ hours a week and am required to submit to random drug screens. Why shouldn't anyone recieving welfare or related benifits be required to do the same. Lets have some freakin accountability!!!

Nice post!!!! I could go on about this crap for days. If someone is really trying to help themselves, I will help them to. If they are just digging in my pockets, it pisses me off!!!
