| He certainly came across as a very likable personality with amazing patience and very level headed. We have lost a lot of good ones this year haven't we? |

| I don't want to turn this into a Kos rant (I know they are outliers) but the reaction over there is crazy. The most amazing reactions to me are:
1. The visceral hatred expressed.
2. The inability to separate political disagreement from this hatred and
3. The apparent confusion by some that Snow could be both "good and evil". There's a diarist who talks (respectfully) about friends of his that were friends of the Snows. His friends are liberal but somehow they liked Snow! The author seems genuinely surprised and a bit confused that someone with such opposing views could be likable but he must have been because the author's liberal friends truly loved the man. Could it be that the mouthpiece of evil was actually a good and likeable human? It's odd/ironic that a so called "progressive" group of folks hold such narrow views.

| Tony was both a scholar and a gentleman...two virtues lost on many people these days.
RIP Tony.

| The AP apparently took a shot at him in his obit. I'm paraphrasing, but it was along the lines of a popular likeable guy, even though he didn't always have the facts straight. That's low.

| Here it is... Santa Cruz Sentinel - Associated Press Quote: |
With a quick-from-the-lip repartee, broadcaster's good looks and a relentlessly bright outlook - if not always a command of the facts - he became a popular figure around the country to the delight of his White House bosses

That's low. | Well, you might be saying that it's inappropriate to point out someone's shortcomings after they pass away, and I understand that. But even Snow acknowledged he made factual errors as press secretary that even he had to go back and correct - it was just part of the way people viewed him, reporters especially. Obits typically favor the positive, but newspapers have a duty to try to be somewhat objective in them as well. Otherwise they'd be eulogies. |

| Tony Snow was a class act. One of the few bright spots in the Bush Administration. |
