| OK Repubs QUESTION What good will it do Obama to give the country away? I dont think it is that simple. Im sure he wants to be respected as the leader of the best country in the world. Why is reforming some walfare programs considered (giving the country away)?
Can altering the walfare program for the better be done without (the robinhood effect)? |

| It all comes down to control which is the core tennant of Obama's platform for success. Obama believes the government is what makes this country great. The more the government has control of our daily lives the better off we are. All this is, is Jimmy Carter to the 9th degree!

Reform does not mean control I dont think. |

| Big Fast Food will pay for Obama's healthcare plans, another WPT for them. It is not the fault of the citizens for the choices they make. Government will fix! |

| I don't know what the Obamassiah wants to do with welfare, but any rollback of the welfare reforms of the 90's would be a bad thing.
Obama is a socialist, he wants universal health care paid for by taxpayers and corporations. He also has these pie in the sky ideals about "green collar jobs" that are created by the government and not private industry. Obama also supports the elimination of the secret ballot for unionization efforts, plus he wants to eliminate the IRB that monitors corruption in the Teamsters' Union.
I am biased, but I am not blind and I can see nothing in Obama's proposals that would stimulate the economy, create jobs and increase the US's standing around the world.

There is simply too much going out and not enough coming in (even without the war) and we are simply passing the problem on to the next generation and have been for some time. Those in control of the money (the government) do not want the American people to have control over their own retirement and medical plans. The money we pay in means power for them (democrats in particular but repubs as well). Obama's plan is to increase taxes on the wealthy and reduce taxes for the "poor". This will reduce tax revenues not increase them. I think he is trying to do good but can't see the forest for the trees and has fallen for the "rich people bad" syndrome. |

| I'm all for welfare reform... as in, reform it into oblivion. The type of reform Obama (and Hillary for that matter) propose will do nothing but cripple the country, and destroy our already overburdened healthcare system. |
