| How would you rate.... these two candidates as far as it being the worst two options for president ever? Is this the worst we have ever had to choose from? |

| I agree, this is a pretty screwed up situation. A vote for Obama is a vote for Socialism and a vote for McCain is a vote for Democrats. Repubs are not in a good situation here. Where is that handsome fellow Mit? Good Lord, I'd vote for Sean Hannity... of course I'm a little partial to that sweet short smartypants!

| It's the ebb and flow. This is what 8 years of one president buys you...things tend to go the other way over time (thus a very liberal Dem and a less conservative Rep on the parties' tickets). There's a good chance that whoever is elected will only serve 4 years. Heck, with McCain's age/health, it's possible that another Rep may even be making a push in 2012. Also - I, unlike you, do not think that McCain is a democrat. He may not be as conservative as some would like, but he isn't a democrat in my book. |

As national sentiment and priorities shift, the parties' representatives shift as well in this type of system. If there were other truly viable parties, then you would see their rise and the republicans/democrats fall and vice-versa over time...but as it is...I just take a broader view of Rep/Dem and go with it. |
