This is the key to the entire situation. Terrorist groups like Hamas and Hezbollah and their backers Iran and Syria are not interested in the 1967 borders. They want to turn the clock back to pre-1948...prior to Israel's establishment.
Syria wants the Golan Heights back as a part of
any peace settlement. I suppose Israel should give that back, too. Whoever commands the Golan Heights has a decided military advantage.
The UN is simply proof positive that a lot of anti-Semitism still exists in this world. And that, given enough time, it's possible to forget anything...even something like the Holocaust.
