Not sure this really deserves its own thread but here we go.

someone is using fake packages as bombs. 1 dead, 2 injured in Austin Texas? apparently this type of thing has happened a couple times in a couple places. amazing we don't hear about it.

Package bombs could be linked to earlier Austin attack - ABC News

In at least the first two blasts, the packages were left overnight on the victims' doorsteps and were not mailed or sent by a delivery service. He said neither the Postal Service nor private carriers such as UPS or FedEx have any record of delivering the package to the home where Monday's explosion occurred.

Their SXSW music festival is this week as well. Hopefully this isn’t a test to see how the bombs work before trying them in a large public setting.

A lot of weird sickos out running loose in the world wanting to feed on the innocent.

Remember the movie Dirty Harry & the lunatic sniper who would kill at random.

The only thing so far has been that the recipients have been poor. this attack seemingly targeted black neighborhoods, but some of the previous ones had hit the redneck sticks. again its been surprisingly hard to find real info on any of it. each story makes reference to similar attacks, but digging up older info while this one story is on the headlines is difficult.

In the name of reasonable and rational. We should raise the age to 21 to purchase these items, it's just common sense.

And eliminate expedited shipping. That speeds up the process just like bump stocks. No one needs access to quick shipping methods. The founding fathers had horses and never envisioned the use of planes and trucks. This was not their intent!

It's sad, because they were absolutely holding onto that hope which is why they've been kind of quiet on reporting this story from the onset. Their fallback plan is to find out the bomber is a white guy, then they can run with that.
