The United States faces cybersecurity threats from Russia, China, Iran and North Korea and faces danger of foreign interference in the 2018 US midterm elections, Coats told the Senate Intelligence Committee.

Simply amazing how the American media can convince most of you that a country like North Korea, that has one fourth the GDP of Wyoming and on the one hand has to starve its citizens can on the other hand be a big time player in cyber intelligence and nuclear weapons development.

Completely agree with you that the N Koreans aren't up to the sophistication or advancement, but that technology is being put in N Korea's hands by someone. We usually disagree on China, but I think that's the most likely source. Russia is a good second candidate, but it's China's sphere of influence, and China has the most to be gained by allowing N Korea to be a distraction in the region. China is no novice at arming and supporting proxies to fight wars of attrition that the Chinese themselves don't want to fight.
