Brazile describes her mounting anxiety about Russia’s theft of emails and other data from DNC servers, the slow process of discovering the full extent of the cyberattacks and the personal fallout. She likens the feeling to having rats in your basement: “You take measures to get rid of them, but knowing they are there, or have been there, means you never feel truly at peace.”

Brazile writes that she was haunted by the still-unsolved murder of DNC data staffer Seth Rich and feared for her own life, shutting the blinds to her office window so snipers could not see her and installing surveillance cameras at her home. She wonders whether Russians had placed a listening device in plants in the DNC executive suite.

Still pushing the Russian hacker non-story, although, I wonder if she was more worried about hackers revealing who the source of the leaks were vs hackers actually trying to steal an election (allegedly).

But even more than the Russians, Brazile says she feared possible retribution from shadowy elements within the campaign and the Democratic Party who might blame her for the leak. Her fears only intensified, she says, after the mysterious shooting of former campaign staffer Seth Rich, who the authorities said was killed during a robbery, though many so-called conspiracy theorists have speculated about a possible Democratic plot to kill Rich for his role in leaking the stash of DNC emails to Wikileaks.

Hold up. I thought the Seth Rich thing was "a botched robbery". Why would she have gotten spooked by that? All she has to do is stay off that super dangerous street after dark.

This is alt right conspiracy loon nirvana right here. The cook book:

1) Take unclear passage from book.

2) Assume she is referring to the same mysterious people involved in the prior loon conspiracy theory.

3) Interpret to mean she is confirming prior loon conspiracy theory.

4) Let simmer 20 minutes. Careful! Do not lift lid and look at actual facts, as that will ruin the stew of unjustified inference stacked upon unjustified inference.

Who cares? She is basically a traitorous biyatch anyway. She made the bed and if the Clintons bump her off, oh well.

What a piece of work. Worried about Russian influence all the while giving the Hildabeast the questions in the debate before hand. The irony is palpable

That's what makes me suspicious of her story. This smells like:

1- an attempt to stay in the spotlight and sell books

2- an attempt to distance herself from criminal acts inside the DNC

I'm leaning toward option 2 right now. I bet there are more skeletons in the closet.

Thinking about you today Frank. I bought a little shack in Cape San Blas. Will close in about 3 weeks. I just came in from the beach. I am staying in another cottage in the same neighborhood. The cottage has a Gulf view from the porch, and is about a 150 yard walk to the beach. There is a trading post with everything you need about 50-60 yards away. You can walk there and get killer homemade donuts in the morning.

The water and sand quality is Destin like. Water is blue green from a distance, but very clear and calm looking at your feet. They may groom the beaches better in Destin, but the nearest people on the beach are 500 yards away. It is about 80 degrees, not a cloud, a 5 mph breeze, and the ocean is maybe 72 degrees at a guess. The water is a little cool.

Thanks! I know you are a beach guy. I've got it to myself over here. It is like having a half mile of private ocean front because there is literally nobody within 500 yards either way. One couple walked past me earlier.

1. Take clear passage from the WaPo that says she feared for her life. And we all just really know how ultra right wing the WaPo is...

2. Assume the passage was misinterpreted.

3. Reinterpret and replace content with stupidity.
