Do you guys believe Cruz?

I would, except that he is not naming the staffer and "handling it internally." Seems to me that if it was a staff person who did it, he'd fire them and name them. By doing it this way, he presents the impression someone else did it, but there is no one to fight back and say otherwise.

As many of LG's threads go with ambiguity and most of us having no clue what happened...here's what happened so everyone can be on the same page.

Sen. Ted Cruz said Tuesday that a staff member of his was responsible for "liking" a pornographic Twitter post with the Texas lawmaker's account, chalking up the social media snafu to a "mistake."

"There are a number of people on the team who have access on the account. It appears that someone inadvertently hit the like button. When we discovered the post, which was I guess an hour or two later, we pulled it down," Cruz (R-Texas) said of the incident. "It was a staffing issue. And it was inadvertent, it was a mistake. It was not a deliberate act. We're dealing with it internally, but it was a mistake. It was not malicious."

Cruz told reporters Tuesday that it was "still being discussed" whether the staff member in question would retain access to the senator's social media account.

I don't care if he did. I don't think he's a great person, but it doesn't affect us in anyway. Non story.

Aside from Trump does anyone think the people with these accounts actually monitor them? I assume anyone with the means assigns a lackey or social media consultant to the task.

I considered numerous other options, but I'll admit that wasn't one of them. My favorite was going to have something to do with Cruz' Dad and the Kennedy assassination, but I did not think I'd have enough characters to link that to a porn video in a single answer.
