Total deaths by war.....

Here is something that everyone should look at when you think that we have lost too many people in the "War on Global Terrorism"

WW1 US Casualties 53,402 1917-1918
WW2 US Casualties 291,557 1940-1945
Korean War US Casualties 33,741 1950-1953
Vietnam War US Casualties 47,410 1964-1975
Gulf War US Casualties 147 8 -12 months (1990)
War on Terror 6,559 2001-2007*
* War on Terror total includes 9/11 American Fatalies

Honestly, I think that we should be alot fiercer in our attacks in Iraq but with the media riding their jocks over there we can't do what we need too. This war should have been over earlier IMO, but because Iraq is a corrupt state and its people didn't stand up and fight earlier this is not the case. I would like for all of you to look at your water faucet and wonder if we would have those had we not beaten the British. I would like all of you to look at you homes no matter how big or small and ask yourself what you would do had the Japanese taken Pearl Harbor then possibly taken California. Guys this war is not just for us, but for a people to get a taste of Freedom just like we did when we first came here. We take everything for granted everyday and aren't thankful enough for what we have. You might flame me or you might agree with me, but at least take a second to look around you. The Iraqies have nothing compared to what we have. I hope and pray that the people of Iraq really step up and take control of their country and embrace the good parts of Democracy and Capitalism, because if they don't Iran will take control of that country and then WW3 will commence.

I've been saying this for 3 years.

First four years of Vietnam we lost 1800 men approximately. How many so far here?

You should really include the Civil War to see what we did to ourselves.

We lose greater than 41,000 Americans on our roads every year. I fail to see the tragedy in any of the death tolls from American wars.

The war going on now has not resulted in anywhere near the deaths yet it is being slammed.
