And you guys missed the entire point of the article. It simply used the election coverage to say that the media in the west cannot be trusted because they have failed to report on the greatness of China.

Is the media more biased now? Or when Reagan was running? Just think about all the media sources now as opposed to when Reagan won. All media was liberal back then. He won in a land slide. There are far more right leaning media sources now.

Yes its quite different now. They would show their liberal side occasionally as with Reagan but at the end of the day profit was the motivation. Competition for any story of interest to the American public still dominated the news day. This is no longer the case as the current administration allowed these small news agencies to be gobbled up by liberal conglomerates who use them as a tool.

How did the current administration allow it?

Trump is a turd. It is not bias when the media reports to us that he is a turd. Hillary has her faults. But she is not turd.

Corporate media is now 100% part of the Leftist democrat party. They are now so arrogant and full of themselves and their power, that they no longer pose as journalists.

Pravda and other totalitarian news agencies could learn so much from our press about pushing the party line while seeming unbiased to a large part of the flock. Pravda just looked like a stiff, arrogant, part of the party spouting the party line.

We on the other have a bunch of more relaxed, seemingly good natured pricks pushing the party line - when they aren't out ducking sniper fire, of course - oh, and the audio and video effects to make the whole spiel more entertaining. Not to mention the additional furniture in the room so guests can come in to discuss the weather or latest trends in one thing or another - the homey living room touch.

I'm torn as to whether the next trend will be casual dress from an easy chair in front of a fireplace or the talk show approach with a sofa and guests discussing the softer more progressive side of things.

To be fair, would you expect anything different from Chinese media? Even if our media was perfectly clean, it's not like they'd say anything but otherwise.

This is the country that has Wikipedia blocked on the internet and has imprisoned people for tweeting (well...on their version of twitter at least) criticisms about politicians. It's not in their interest to say anything good about other countries.

"Foreign Is Dangerous" - China's Censors Are Banning Hollywood Films From Domestic Market | ZeroHedge

What's more, Beijing's recent crackdown on its own entertainment industry (banning depictions of "sissy" men while erasing one of the country's most popular actresses from the Chinese Internet) further supports the fact that Beijing has a very clear idea of what entertainment should be permitted and what should not.

"You look at all of the criticisms of the so-called sissy boys, the closing down of the K-pop fan clubs, closing down of tutoring services that taught English, English not included in school final exams...It's the atmosphere right now that foreign is dangerous, and Hollywood is subject to that as well," said Stanley Rosen, a political science professor who specializes in Chinese politics and society at the University of Southern California.
