"Gender-neutral bathrooms will come to a University of Tennessee building near you.

Actually, every building on campus by 2019.
The SGA Student Senate voted to pass two bills Tuesday night, including the revised version of a bill mandating the designation of at least one gender neutral bathroom in every building on campus.

"The Gender-Neutral Bathrooms" bill, which passed with 47 votes for, 10 abstaining and 12 against, will require one gender-neutral bathroom in every current UT building, excluding Greek life buildings and newly constructed buildings like the Fred D. Brown Residence Hall.

In compliance with the bill, one women's restroom in each building will be converted to a gender-neutral restroom by adding a lock on the door and a new sign indicating its new function."

Anyone know of any new developments or progress news about this?

Who comes up with this garbage?
The thread or the touchy feely gender neutral stuff? Gender neutral bathrooms will be defacto men's rooms because women ain't going in there when men are there. Good. The problem is that they will have toilets, and toilets use more water than urinals. So I wonder how the environmentalist branch of the socialist party will react to this.

Something to consider for those with those who can process more than a sentence at a time. If a woman at this very moment saw a male with xy chromosomes in the bathroom, they'd know something is wrong and run for the hills. Now, they have to worry about being scared in the bathroom. Also, it wasn't just men and male locker room swaps when I brought it up, but rather underage high school KIDS. What is wrong with this world. It's a rhetorical question as I already know the answer. Bet of luck to liberals and muslims sharing a culture. It will be more like prison rape and auschwitz but to each their own.

I thought they were still going to have men's and women's bathrooms and were adding the gender neutral. If so, besides cost what is your problem?

I also take it you never participated in drama or theatre. Would you let your daughter participate when often times wardrobe changes are done in front of the opposite sex?

I should be due some form of reparations for having been oppressed by government sponsored urinary and gastrointestinal segregation my entire life. I have had to walk past a perfectly functional toilet simply because it was for "women". This caused extreme pain and suffering as well as lost time to find a toilet for "men". I was made to feel humiliated by the discrimination. Let's not wait for our descendants to hash out the merits of reparations being paid to lineal heirs 150 years from now. God knows the ones supporting it will have no clue as to culpability and the law. This systemic segregation must be atoned for before it is too late.

You haven't been around when TOP goes off on this subject. The post is directed at him and him alone. He believes that this law will allow full grown men to change in the middle school locker room.

Planet Fitness had a full grown male changing in a women's locker room, and when an actual woman complained she had her membership revoked. I think those places tend to be all ages as long as kids are with a guardian.

Then it's up to the parents to decide to or not to bring their kids. Same with any customer, they have to make a decision to patronize PF or not.
