Wasn't this guy a hot name just a couple of months ago? Whew, that was quick...

I didn't see this coming at all. Looks to me like the Kochs let him know his services were no longer required.

Ouch! The good news is that Teddy Kennedy hasn't had a drink in over 6 years.

I heard he was crossing the river Styx in the afterlife, inebriated, and he capsized the boat. Charon died. Kennedy showed up in Hades with a neck brace.

Will one candidate pick up all of the Walker supporters or will his <1% be split up amongst several candidates ?

It is baffling how bad Republicans are at running campaigns. Walker had so many things going for him, he should have been able to coast on his bona fides for a while. But he has the personality of a potato, and constantly bumbles his way thru speeches and debates.

Agreed on all of this.

Just because you are a good Captain doesn't mean you need to be a General. He tried but hit his peak as a governor. Nothing wrong with that. Hopefully 5-6 others step aside soon.

A Cruz nomination would be handing the Presidency to a Dem on a silver platter.

Exactly, look at what electing a junior senator with zero work experience outside of government has gotten us.

Should we keep nominating moderates? Thats worked out very well lately.

It did with Reagan, Bush 1 and Bush 2.
That gave the WH to the GOP for 20 of the last 34 years.

The only far right conservative nominated in my lifetime was Goldwater, that turned out extremely well .....for the Dems.

It got us drastic improvement over where we were on 1/20/2009. Like it or not, that is fact.

The worse mistake the USA has made in a presidential election in modern history was electing the former Republican Governor of Texas in 2000, then reelecting him in 2004. Like it or not, that is fact. That was one disastrous administration.

Yes. Because moderates bridge the gap between the extremes. That is what you need in a leader, someone who can bring both parties to the table and compromise to get things done. Extremes to either side are just bad business.

It also brought us disasters like Obamacare, NSA spying, the continuing scandal that is the Veteran's Administration, Fast and Furious, the Gibson Guitar debacle, Dodd/Frank, record numbers out of the work force and record numbers on food stamps.

yes, things have improved, but they improved in spite of Obama's inept leadership style, not because of it.
