Understood. Push the problem aside to mourn the loss of life, so we in turn enable further loss of life. God bless America and all that bull****.

America allows the clueless and uninformed to still voice their opinion. For that you should say God bless America every day of your life

Unbelievable. At what point will people realize something progressive has to be done about our gun problem?

How do you know that this guy didn't have this gun legally? If he had this gun legally then how is that a gun problem? Would you just suggest that no one have guns?

Most civilized nations do. Along with more equality and less gun violence.

The reason folks are asking you to take it to the politics forum, is that it will muddy up the updates here regarding this specific story.

That subject has been debated ad nauseam over there and that is the place for such topics. That's all I'll say on the matter.

That is what he is going to suggested.

Instead of blaming the guy people blame gun control. Pretty much an excuse to take the emphasis away from what it should be on, the shooter.

I agree, we need to implement mandatory firearms safety and basic marksmanship programs in every middle school in this country.

Because that's far more risky and personal than shooting someone. It's a pretty effective deterrent. Not to mention mass stabbings are far less likely to happen than a mass shooting just because you can detain a knife carrier far easier than a gunman.

And for the guy who said it's the person, not the gun. The same could be said of hydrogen bombs. Let's just legalize hydrogen bombs for everyone, even Iran. It's not the bombs fault if it gets used, and we should trust the Iranians to have such a weapon.

The gun probably loaded itself and jumped into the guy's hand, and the trigger went off while he was just an unwitting participant.

Let's make this real simple. You will not stop people from harming other people. It's happened since the first humans roamed the earth. The only thing you can do is protect yourself and your family. No shiny new law will stop that.

One does not have anything to do with the other. I'm sure Iran couldn't pass the background check.
