I hurt for these families. Obviously monetary compensation cannot bring their families back, but for there to be no consequences for this makes me sick.

article uses 3 different numbers for how many people are effected. seems like GM has addressed the issue, there is a fund already set up for them to get their money. The ruling seems to say if you haven't sued them yet, 10+ years after the fact you can't jump in a do it now.

I agree, it's disgusting. From the judges to these big companies. Wonder how much the judge made on this?

The Guardian is about as reputable as a news source as it comes these days. "Claims after GM filed for bankruptcy will not be affected." Bankrupt in 2010. Most claims occurred from 2005-2010; 84 deaths in that period. I am surprised that most people seem not to care.
