I believe $9 is what minimum wage should be if adjusted for inflation..I think..not 100% sure.

But yeah $9 an hour..I'd get excited about that if I was 15.

Atleast they made the call rather than buckling to the staged protests by unions

Me and my wife were working for 6.70 an hr combined in 81. That is including having a kid.

I don't scoff at anyone willing to work at any wage.
