The attack on Pearl Harbor by the japs is probably being taught in schools today solely from the jap perspective.

The japs had become a very militaristic and belligerent nation. The japs felt that they were racially superior to white Americans. Frank Roosevelt therefore cut-off their supply of oil, hoping to lessen the japanese aggression. At the time 80 per-cent of japan's oil came from the U.S.

Needless to say, japan learned a very cruel lesson about the United States.

I haven't decided yet if you're a troll or legitimately crazy.

I haven't Quite decided whether you are a socialist or a Communist, even though they are the same thing.

Haha! Funny! Hehe, hoho! Haven't heard that one before.

Why would you say that schools are teaching kids to think otherwise? I teach my students that Japan was (and still is) an incredibly racist society.

Maybe you should educate your own stupid kids and stop blaming teachers for all the ills in our society.

Who are you to tell the Japanese what they should and shouldn't do? Oh, I forgot the socialist aspect of our edumacators these days. What does racism have to do with the attack on Pearl? Oh, I forgot the socialist aspect that it ALWAYS has to be racist or sexist or politically incorrect.

Can't it just be that the Japanese don't respect most Americans for just the views that you espouse? Could it be that the Japanese look at most Americans as lazy and self centered? Given the current state of affairs in this country and the direction that we have headed in the last 30 or 40 years can you blame them? Not everyone in the world is liberal.

Also, we beat their asses. They haven't forgotten that. I suggest you watch the movie "Unbroken" and then read the book. I hope Jolie stayed true to the book and didn't Hollywoodize it.

Edit: To your last comment, the fact that you are a teacher and are willing to call kids stupid is telling. Maybe we should educate our kids then we wouldn't need worthless teachers.

The problem definitely starts at home. A lot of parents aren't interested in parenting. Having so many worthless teachers isn't helping the problem either.

American Patriots that haven't been to the USS Arizona Memorial in Hawaii need to go before they die.

I teared up.

It was one of the most surreal experiences of my life. To see that oil, the same oil put into the ship before the attack, slowly seeping out and to the surface, makes the event so much more real and forces you to appreciate what happened that day.

Never Forget.

You post this:
You win the award for most nonsensical post of the day.

Then you go on to do exactly what you "claimed" I did:
Tell me about it. It's like they're having to erase all the stupid **** their parents taught them.

Your nonresponse is simply agreement. I had to erase a lot of the BS my kids were taught beginning in middle school. Fortunately they both were in technical careers and pretty much laughed at the BS spouted by the liberal arts "teachers" at UT.

Have been there. It was incredible. Growing up I read nearly every WWII/War in China story I could get my hands on. Ragged, Rugged, Warriors was one of my favorites.

My youngest took things like Scuba Diving, Weight Lifting, and Jogging for liberal arts electives.
