Cute dog video aside.. is it infinitely depressing that the people in place to decide the legality of new technology couldn't know any less about new technology.
There is a huge gap between the technology sector and most people's understanding of that technology. As more and more companies continue to implement ever evolving new technologies within their business models.. the fact that our court systems are clueless when it comes to all this "magic" is a huge problem.
With all sorts of commercial entities of various sizes and varied amounts of available resources, we will likely see this boil down even more to which one of these entities has the most resources to properly explain their hocus pocus to the courts.
